Plans utilize hybrid wifi connectivity when available to leverage necessary bandwidth on traditional cellular networks in order to reduce costs.  The only difference you will notice with the service is the price.  The service is built on the same industry infrastructure and utilizes the same 4g LTE coverage a the major carriers.
